Support the carers who support the UK—keep the 5-year ILR route
Please keep the 5-year ILR route for care workers already in the UK. Do not apply the new 10–15 year rules to those who arrived legally, built their lives here, and are holding up the UK’s care system. Protect the families who trusted the original promise.

Care workers came to the UK on a 5-year promise, leaving behind families, selling assets, and investing everything for a stable future. Extending our route to 10–15 years destroys family plans, delays having children, and puts our lives on hold. We care for your loved ones every day, risking our own health and time with our families. Please don’t change the rules on people who trusted you and are essential to this country.
