Ban plastic stickers on fruit and vegetables sold in the UK
We urge the Government to ban plastic stickers on fruit and vegetables sold in the UK. We believe they are not recyclable and contribute to microplastic pollution, and that there may be compostable or laser-etched alternatives. We believe the UK should follow France & New Zealand in doing this.

Background
Plastic stickers are used on billions of items per year, and many end up in a landfill or ocean. We are concerned that wildlife may consume them, and they may degrade into harmful microplastics. With a global treaty on plastic pollution in progress, we believe the UK should lead a ban on what we believe is a single-use, unnecessary plastic.
