Conduct review of UK plastic exports
In November 2022, the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee published the report titled 'The price of plastic: ending the toll of plastic waste'.

Background
The government responded to this report shortly afterwards in January 2023, citing the targets that already been outlined as part of the 25 Year Environment Plan, which set out the ambition to eliminate all avoidable plastic waste by 2042.
The Government must act now. I am asking you to reconsider this report and it's recommendations with a view to ceasing all plastic exports for recycling by 2030, acting in the process as a key catalyst to help support the 2042 targets.
