Background
The regulations has not taken into account Equality Act 2010 protected characteristics of employees under 'age discrimination or ageism'.
Reference to the age 50 prevents employees who have not reached 50 the opportunity to use their Additional Voluntary Contributions they have paid or accumulated over years of employment to purchase additional years of service when considering early or flexible retirement.
