We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for. Decisions about eligibility to stand for offices within a political party including party leader are a matter for individual political parties, not the UK Government or Parliament.

Background
People such as Mayors are elected and are representatives of their parties they are also members of their parties. In sight of recent events allowing this would eliminate any abuse of power, thus stopping any future blocking of potential candidates. This Petition is about democratic fairness.
