If a tribunal decides that compensation should be awarded, the employer is ordered to pay once the claimant has received a written judgement. If the employer does not pay within 14 days they will also need to pay interest. Claimants can report an employer to the government, go to court, or claim compensation from the government if an employer does not pay. More information on what happens once a tribunal awards compensation can be found here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/work/employment-tribunal/employment-tribunals/the-tribunal-hearing/check-what-happens-if-you-win-your-employment-tribunal-case/

Background
From my own experience I have realised an employment tribunal decision means nothing!
The whole process is drawn out, stressful and even if you get an award - you still have to fight - and end up with nothing!
This HAS to change.
