Add “Jewish” to the list of ethnic group categories for all government forms
Add “Jewish” as a mandatory ethnicity option for all government forms that collect data on ethnicity, include the official census. According to current practice (including the census form) "Jewish" is listed only as a religion, which could exclude, say, ethnically Jewish atheists.

Background
Antisemitism has in recent history been a racial, not just religious, prejudice. Hitler's Nazis did not spare non-believing or converted Jews.
Like many people born into Jewish families, I claim "Jewish" as a definition of my ethnic identity (DNA testing identifies me as Ashkenazi Jewish). I have no religious beliefs. I believe listing "Jewish" as only a religion reflects and fosters ignorance about Jewish ethnicity, and the roots of antisemitism.
