A UK nationwide ban on publicly chanting the slogan “globalise the intifada”
Introduce legislation and policing guidance to treat public chanting of “globalise the intifada” as a call to violence/terrorism. Prohibit its use at demonstrations and public events, and require organisers and police to stop it and take enforcement action where it intimidates, harasses or incites.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. The Government does not specifically prohibit certain words or phrases. Some language is already prosecutable as a hate crime or public order offence in certain circumstances. More information about this can be found on the Crown Prosecution Service website here https://www.cps.gov.uk/types-crime/hate-crime and here https://www.cps.gov.uk/prosecution-guidance/public-order-offences-incorporating-charging-standard The Metropolitan Police and Greater Manchester Police issued a joint statement stating that they will "act decisively and make arrests" in response to placards and chants such as “globalise the intifada”. Several such arrests have been made.
