Petrol Price Premium: Barnsley East
The petition of residents of the United Kingdom,
Declares, as highlighted by the Barnsley Chronicle, that fuel prices in Barnsley East are regularly around 3 pence per litre higher than in comparable neighbouring areas like Wakefield and Kirklees, with prices sometimes higher than in Central London.
Further declares that people in Barnsley East are some of the hardest hit during the cost-of-living crisis, and that high petrol prices in the area are putting further unnecessary pressure on households.
The petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urges the Government to take into account the concerns of the petitions and take immediate action to ensure that Barnsley East is not forced to pay a petrol price premium.
And the petitioners remain, etc.—[Presented by Stephanie Peacock.]
