Draft Registration of Overseas Entities Bill

Message from the Commons

A message was brought from the Commons that they concur with the resolution of this House of 23 October 2018 relating to a Joint Committee to consider and report on the draft Registration of Overseas Entities Bill presented to both Houses on 23 July 2018 (Cm 9635) and that they have ordered:

That a Select Committee of six Members be appointed to join with a Committee appointed by the Lords for this purpose.

That the Committee should report on the draft Bill by Friday 10 May 2019.

That the Committee shall have power:

(i) to send for persons, papers and records;

(ii) to sit notwithstanding any adjournment of the House;

(iii) to report from time to time;

(iv) to appoint specialist advisers; and

(v) to adjourn from place to place within the United Kingdom.

That the quorum of the Committee shall be two.

House adjourned at 9 pm.
