Implementation of the transport elements of the Renewable Energy Directive

The Renewable Energy Directive (RED) requires the UK to ensure that 10% of the energy used in transport is from renewable sources in 2020, as well as requiring the introduction of mandatory sustainability criteria for biofuels. This consultation seeks views on proposed amendments to the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) scheme in order to implement the RED and changes that aim to improve administration of the scheme.
