Consultation on Proposals for Changes to Maximum Stake and Prize Limits for Category B, C and D Gaming Machines
Give us your views on stakes and prizes.
In October 2011 the Government announced the reintroduction of a triennial review system to consider the level of monetary limits on stakes and prizes applied to gaming machines in Great Britain through the Gambling Act 2005. This will put in place a more coherent and systematic approach to the regulation of stakes and prizes.
The first review under the new system has been completed and the Government is now consulting on a package of measures changing the maximum stake and prize limits for a range of gaming machines situated in arcades, bingo premises, casinos and pubs and clubs in Britain. The consultation also seeks information on the impact of B2 gaming machines.
Comments are invited on the proposals as set out in the consultation document. An impact assessment is also being published analyzing the associated costs and benefits.
