The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is inviting views on draft guidance on the CMA’s procedures and assessment in water and sewerage mergers.
The draft guidance has been produced because of changes to the special water merger regime in the Water Act 2014, which are expected to come into force in November 2015.
The draft guidance sets out how the CMA will approach issues that are specific to water mergers.
This consultation will be of interest to:
- anyone with an interest in water mergers
- businesses regulated by the Water Services Regulation Authority (Ofwat)
