This consultation forms part of a light touch review of the 6 guidance documents underpinning the Planning Act 2008, which includes the application form guidance as well as on:

• the pre-application process
• examinations
• fees
• associated development
• compulsory acquisitions

The application form guidance has been refreshed to bring it into line with the Localism Act 2011 and has been made more concise in the process.
