Draft Joint Fisheries Statement (JFS)

The JFS has been developed by the 4 fisheries administrations of the UK (Scottish Government, Welsh Government, UK government and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) in Northern Ireland).

The final JFS will be published in November 2022 and will set the future direction of UK fisheries management. It is a requirement of the Fisheries Act 2020 and will make sure that policies deliver a thriving, sustainable fishing industry and healthy marine environment.
