SEN and disability: detained persons regulations and revised code

We are consulting on:

• draft Special Educational Needs and Disability (Detained Persons) Regulations 2015
• draft revisions to the ‘Special educational needs and disability code of practice: 0 to 25 years’

The regulations relate to children and young people (under 19 years old) with special educational needs (SEN) who are detained in youth custody. They will commence from April 2015 and are being introduced as part of the Children and Families Act 2014.
