This consultation proposes amending requirements placed on traffic authorities when they propose and make temporary and permanent traffic orders. Traffic authorities include local authorities, Transport for London and the Highways Agency. The main focus of the proposals concerns the procedures for publication for all traffic orders, and consultation for permanent orders. The proposed changes are in relation to England only.
