Electricity Market Reform: contracts for difference consultation on changes to the CFD contract and regulations
The Government is seeking views on proposed amendments to the Contract for Difference and Electricity Market Reform secondary legislation.

This consultation covers a number of proposed policy changes that would require changes to EMR’s secondary legislation to implement. These changes are intended to apply to future (Summer 2015 onwards) CFD allocation rounds.
This consultation also includes proposed changes to the CFD contract. These changes cover:
- Negative pricing
- Unincorporated joint ventures
- Minor, technical or clarifying amendments
Following consultation and review, these amendments will be incorporated into the CFD to be used in the next Allocation Round.
