Draft OFT guidance for lettings professionals

The OFT’s report on the lettings market, published in February 2013, identified a number of concerns about how the market was working for consumers. In view of this, the OFT promised to produce guidance on how it considers the relevant consumer laws apply to lettings professionals.

The OFT has launched a consultation on draft guidance that aims to help professionals in the private rented sector, including letting agents and landlords, to comply with the law.
