Consultation on amending the guidance on planning fees to bring it into line with the Localism Act 2011.
Last fetched 03 May 2026 · gov.uk
Detail
This consultation forms part of a light touch review of the 6 guidance documents underpinning the Planning Act 2008, which includes guidance on planning fees as well as on:
- the pre-application process
- examinations
- associated development
- application forms
- compulsory acquisitions
The guidance on the Infrastructure Planning (Fees) Regulations 2010 has been refreshed to bring it into line with the Localism Act 2011 and it has also been made more concise in the process. In addition, the worked examples have been removed until more evidence of actual costs becomes available.
