Changes to Ofsted inspection fees for independent schools

We are seeking views on proposed changes to fees that His Majesty’s Inspector of Education, Children’s Services and Skills charges for inspections of some independent schools.

We have proposed annual increases to fees, for 5 years, for:

• standard inspections
• progress monitoring inspections
• pre-registration inspections

We have also proposed making the fee for a pre-registration inspection payable before the inspection.
