Detail

We want your views on an application to exempt the use of lead and cadmium in ion selective electrodes, including glass pH electrodes, from the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Regulations.

We want to know about any risks to health and the environment that using lead and cadmium in these electrodes involves. We are also interested to know if there are any other less hazardous alternatives to lead and cadmium that could be used in the electrodes.
