Regulating CO2 emission standards for new heavy-duty vehicles after transition

There are plans for a CO2 emissions regulatory scheme for new heavy-duty vehicles registered in the UK after the EU transition period ends.

The scheme will be implemented after the transition period ends on 31 December 2020. It aims to ensure continuity to the regulation of CO2 emissions from new heavy-duty vehicles when they are first registered in the UK.
