Programme of Value for Money Studies

The Defence Reform Act 2014 requires that, in carrying out its functions, the SSRO must aim to ensure that good value for money is obtained in government expenditure on qualifying defence contracts and that persons who are party to those contracts are paid a fair and reasonable price.

The SSRO will conduct analytical work to produce, for example, comparative management information and defence benchmarks and parametrics that could support the Ministry of Defence and industry to deliver good value for money from single source defence contracts.

The SSRO will run a full programme of analytical studies. This consultation sets out a list of potential topics and invites views on what the SSRO’s priorities for studies should be.

This is a public consultation. It is open to anyone with an interest in single source defence procurement.
