Environmental permitting: standard rules consultation no 22
We want your views on a new standard rules set for operators storing PAS 107 certified shredded tyres.
The Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 allow the Environment Agency to produce standard rules permits to reduce the administrative burden on business while maintaining environmental standards.
They are based on sets of standard rules that we can apply widely in England. We develop them by assessing the environmental risk posed by the activity.
We are consulting on a new standard rules set for operators storing PAS 107 certified shredded tyres. The rule set is supported by a generic risk assessment to make sure the risks to the environment and human health are reduced to an acceptable level for these activities.
We will take account of any consultation responses and publish our response together with the new standard rules permit and risk assessment on GOV.UK.
