In August 2018 the department consulted on proposed changes to the Branded Health Service Medicines (Costs) Regulations 2018. Some respondents asked for more information about:
- the expected 2018 baseline for forecast relevant sales and allowed relevant sales
- the calculation of the payment percentages for 2019 to 2021
The clarification note provides additional information about these issues to help respondents understand how the department calculated the proposed payment percentages.
Further comments are being invited on the proposed payment percentages and the methodology used in determining the payment percentages. Full details of how to submit further comments are provided in the clarification note.
