Pathway Action Plans for invasive non-native species in Great Britain
This consultation is inviting views on draft Pathway Action Plans (PAPs) which target the priority introduction routes of invasive non-native species (INNS) into Great Britain.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), the Scottish Government and Welsh Government want to know your views on draft Pathway Action Plans (PAPs) for invasive non-native species (INNS) in Great Britain.
Pathways are ways INNS can be introduced and spread. We have identified 5 priority pathways as:
- recreational boating
- angling
- horticulture
- zoos and aquaria
- pets
The PAPs we have developed provide best practice guidance. The implementation of the plans will target the risks of introduction and spread associated with these priority pathways.
Your responses will help us publish comprehensive finalised PAPs aimed at preventing or minimising these risks.
