- the police complaints system
- the police disciplinary system
- measures to strengthen protections for police whistleblowers
- changes to the role of the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC)
- changes to the powers of Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC)
This consultation was announced in this written ministerial statement on police integrity on the Parliament.uk website.
It draws on information from the Chapman review ‘An Independent Review of the Police Disciplinary System in England and Wales’.
