Transport for London Act 2016
A Bill to confer further powers upon Transport for London; and for related purposes.
The Bill (as originally introduced) would provide Transport for London (TfL) with further powers in respect of the arrangements for stewardship of its financial affairs and the management of its operational undertaking.
Key areas
- enables TfL subsidiaries to mortgage or charge any of its property as security for money which it has borrowed or otherwise owes
- extends the powers of TfL’s subsidiaries in respect of risk mitigation investments.
